Terms of Service | Mane Map

These terms govern your use of manemap.com ("Mane Map," "we," "us"). By using the site, whether you're browsing as a wearer, submitting a consultation request, or applying as a specialist, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What Mane Map is

Mane Map is a directory that connects hair system wearers with independent hair system specialists. We do not perform hair system installations, maintenance, or any other service ourselves. Every specialist listed on Mane Map is an independent business, not an employee, partner, agent, or representative of Mane Map.

No guarantee of outcomes

We vet specialists before listing them (license verification, portfolio review), but we cannot guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any service you receive from a specialist. Any agreement, payment, or service you arrange with a specialist is strictly between you and that specialist. Mane Map is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for what happens during or after your appointment.

If you have a dispute, complaint, or concern about a service you received, that issue is between you and the specialist directly. We're glad to hear about it (it helps us make better listing decisions), but we can't resolve, mediate, or take responsibility for it.

If you're a client submitting a consultation request

You agree to provide accurate information in your request.
Your information will be shared with the specific specialist you inquire about, so they can contact you.
Response times are set by individual specialists, not by us, and we can't guarantee any specialist will respond.

If you're a specialist applying to be listed

You confirm that all information you submit (licensing, experience, contact details) is accurate and current.
You confirm you have permission from any client shown in photos you submit, and that you're authorized to share those photos publicly on Mane Map.
You're responsible for responding to client inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
We reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any listing at our discretion, including for inaccurate information, unprofessional conduct, or unresponsiveness to client inquiries.

Paid features

Some features of Mane Map may become paid over time (such as enhanced specialist profiles or lead access). Specific pricing and terms for any paid feature will be presented clearly before you're asked to pay for it. Purchases of digital products (such as our Year One ebook) are processed and governed separately by Gumroad's own terms.

Content and intellectual property

The Mane Map name, logo, and site content are owned by us. By submitting content to Mane Map (bios, photos, descriptions), you grant us permission to display that content on the site for as long as your listing is active. You retain ownership of your own content.

No warranties

Mane Map is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate at all times. We do our best to keep specialist information current, but details can change.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mane Map is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from services performed by specialists listed on the site, or from your use of the site itself. Our total liability to you for any claim related to Mane Map is limited to the amount you've paid us directly, if any.

We can remove access

We reserve the right to remove any listing, content, or user access at any time, for any reason, including violations of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
