Mane Map ("we," "us," "our") connects hair system wearers with verified specialists. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here isn't clear, email us at hello@manemap.com and we'll explain it in plain language.

Information we collect

If you submit a consultation request through a specialist's profile, we collect your name, email, phone number (if provided), your budget range, where you are in your hair system journey, any notes you add, and an optional photo of your current hairline.

If you apply to be listed as a specialist, we collect your business name, contact name, email, Instagram/TikTok handle, website, city and state, a description of your experience, and any portfolio photos you submit.

If you download our free guide or sign up for updates, we collect your email address through Beehiiv, our email service provider.

If you purchase the Year One ebook, that transaction is handled entirely by Gumroad. We never see or store your payment information.

General site usage, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages get visited, how the quiz gets completed, and similar aggregate patterns. This doesn't identify you personally.

How we use your information

• Consultation requests are forwarded directly to the specific specialist you inquired about, so they can reach out to you. We may also send you a couple of follow-up emails with educational resources (like our free guide or FAQ).
• Specialist applications are reviewed by us before approval. If approved, your business name, city, bio, and portfolio photos are published publicly on your Mane Map profile.
• Email addresses collected through our lead magnet or newsletter are used to send occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Analytics data is used only to improve the site. We don't sell it or share it with advertisers.

Photos and portfolio content

Specialists confirm they have their clients' permission before submitting before/after photos for their profile. If you ever see a photo you didn't agree to being posted, email hello@manemap.com and we'll remove it immediately.

Third-party services we use

We rely on a handful of trusted services to run Mane Map, each with their own privacy practices:

• Google Analytics, for site usage data
• Tally, for consultation and application forms
• Beehiiv, for email newsletter delivery
• Gumroad, for ebook purchases and payment processing

We encourage you to review each provider's own privacy policy for details on how they handle data.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@manemap.com. This includes removing a submitted photo, unsubscribing from emails, or having your specialist listing taken down.

Children's privacy

Mane Map is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
